Lingjun Gao
Biography
Lingjun Gao is a first-year Ph.D. student in Statistics at Penn State University.
He received his B.S. in Financial Mathematics from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. He then received his M.S. in Applied Statistics from the University of Michigan. During his master's studies, he worked with Professor Snigdha Panigrahi and was involved in research on post-selection inference. He was also honored as an Outstanding Master's Student during his master's program.
He believes that uncertainty is an inherent part of life, and he is fascinated by how we can make rigorous statistical inferences and obtain probabilistically guaranteed conclusions in the presence of such uncertainty. His research interests include robust inference, post-selection inference, and more broadly, valid inference in statistical methodology.
