Mission Statement
The Department of Statistics has long been a collegial, connected community – able to integrally and smoothly address climate-related issues, and characterize by remarkable intellectual diversity and multi-culturalism. Our faculty and students come from all parts of the world, and readily share scientific pursuits, the riches of their heritages, and friendship. We strive to further increase diversity in terms of gender and ethnicity and to maintain inclusiveness and equity as society at large, and the constituencies within our Department, evolve over time. This will allow every individual, and our community as a whole, to thrive and achieve full potential and productivity.
The Department of Statistics strives to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.The Code of Mutual Respect and Cooperation was developed to embody the values that we hope our faculty, staff, and students will put forward everyday.



Department Ombudspeople work to facilitate communication between conflicting parties and refer people to a variety of resources for further assistance.
