Science-U Sponsorship Information

Each year, Science-U hosts 15-20 week-long summer science programs that engage over 550 students entering grades 2-12 in hands-on, investigatory curriculum focused on topics in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Since its founding in 1999, Science-U has been exciting young learners from across the U.S. about the STEM possibilities in their future and providing them with the knowledge and skills they need to explore those STEM pathways.

We are seeking businesses and organizations with a vested interest in both science education and the community to sponsor our Science-U program! We have developed a range of contribution options in the following areas so that corporations can play a role in developing the STEM pipeline while staying true to its giving priorities:

    • Increasing STEM Opportunity for Diverse K-12 Youth: Sponsorship of financial aid or scholarships for Science-U campers who come from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds or from populations that are historically underrepresented in STEM fields
    • Enriching the STEM Undergraduate Experience: Sponsorship of our Science-U Mentors, who are typically Penn State STEM or Science Education undergraduates who build their professional skill sets while working at Science-U
    • Bringing Cutting-Edge STEM to Camp: Sponsorship of camp directors and activities that make our Science-U camps hands-on, engaging experiences for our campers

For more information about how businesses and organizations can contribute to each of these areas, and how we recognize and appreciate our sponsors, is described below.  If you wish to make a donation or to find out more about our needs, please contact the Office of Science Outreach at sciencecamps@science.psu.edu, or call us at 814-865-0509 Thank you for your consideration!
