Statistics Graduate Student Association

Who we are

We represent the interests of graduate students in the Department of Statistics at Penn State and serve as a formal channel for communication between graduate students and faculty on key issues. SGSA also organizes several events, including weekly workshops, board game nights, socials, and a journal club, and members also volunteer with the department’s annual DataFest competition.

  • Any graduate student in the Statistics Department may run for SGSA office during the final meeting of the spring semester

  • Volunteer to be one of our committee chairs

  • Share opportunities for funding, education, social events. Please do so either through department email lists or in our Facebook group.
