About the Camp

Science-U is proud to partner with the Penn State College of Education to offer two immersive summer camps hosted in the college’s Krause Pedagogical Innovation Lab. You will become a community scientist in this interdisciplinary science and making camp!  Learn how to use and create tools that collect data, investigate real-world problems, and design solutions that matter to your neighborhood. We’ll dive into local issues like increased storm damage from high winds, stormwater runoff and flooding, the environmental impact of new data centers near homes and natural areas, as well as other local challenges. Through making, experimenting, and exploring, you’ll discover how science and a maker-mindset can help you understand and take action on the issues that affect you and your world.
