ArtLab: Science, Nature, and Creative Inquiry
Are you an artist looking for inspiration? Or a scientist ready to flex your creative muscles? Discover how artistic expression and scientific investigation intersect in this hands-on, interdisciplinary camp. Explore the principles of art and science through creative experiments, observational studies, and both lab- and field-based activities. Extract natural dyes and explore the chemistry of color, initiate redox reactions to make photographs, and collect materials in nature to make your opus. In ArtLab, you will learn how inquiry and imagination work together to inspire innovation in both art and science. Throughout the week, you will build and take home a portfolio of original work in diverse mediums that reflects a newfound understanding of the connections between art, science, and the natural world.
