This is an opportunity for high school students who are fascinated by DNA and biotechnology and are interested in learning more about cutting-edge research in biopharmaceutical, agricultural, and environmental research areas. During this three-day program, participants will conduct wet- lab experiments in the Penn State graduate student biotechnology training lab. Techniques like DNA cloning and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification of DNA will be introduced. Participants will also hear from scientists and industry professionals in biopharmaceutical, agricultural, and environmental biotechnology careers.

This application will be due on March 25, 2024. Applicants who are accepted into the camp will be contacted and provided additional information to complete the registration process. Lunch and Snacks: Activity breaks will be taken each day to allow kids to eat their peanut-free snacks that they bring from home. Campers will eat lunch in the dining commons each day.
