About the Outreach Office

Meet the Staff

The Eberly College of Science Outreach Office helps organize, implement, direct, and find funding for multiple educational programs for families, K-12 students and teachers, the general public, and special audiences. Please read "What is Outreach?" for more extensive information on research, teaching, and service.

Whether you are a faculty member looking for help in writing your broader impacts or education and outreach portion of a grant, a teacher searching for exciting and interactive workshops for continuing education, a parent looking for quality science instruction for your child, or someone with a passing interest in science, the Outreach Office can find or develop a program that meets your needs.

With a staff of former teachers and researchers, an instructional designer for online courses, and a full slate of programs ranging from Science-U, our premier summer science camp program for students in grades 2 – 12, to one-day, one-hour lab-based demonstrations, we have a wide variety of programs for every age group and audience.

Faculty members searching for advice and support for a National Science Foundation CAREER Award should contact Michael Zeman, Director of Outreach, at least a month before the proposal deadline.
