Research Interests

[gr-qc], [hep-th], [cond-matt.stat-mech]

My work lies at the interface of general relativity, quantum field theory and quantum information. The main objective of my research is to understand the quantum nature of space-time. Entanglement plays a central role in these investigations. I apply the methods developed to a wide range of phenomena that include: (i) the primordial state of the universe, (ii) the late stages of black hole evaporation, (iii) the thermalization of isolated quantum systems. My research strategy is to profit from the cross-fertilization of these diverse areas.
