Biography

Xiang Zhu is an Assistant Professor at Penn State.

Zhu received his PhD in Statistics from University of Chicago in 2017. He received his BS in Statistics from Nankai University in 2012.

Zhu was a Stein Fellow at Stanford University in 2017-2020. He is also a biostatistician (without compensation) at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System since 2018. He joined Penn State as an Assistant Professor in 2020.

Zhu works on the development and application of novel statistical and computational methodology to mine large-scale genetic and genomic data collected from diverse human populations. The list of his research publications is available at https://metadata.libraries.psu.edu/profiles/xkz5224.
