Department of Chemistry Announces Virtual Graduation Celebration for the Class of 2020

The Department of Chemistry is pleased to announce that it will host a virtual ceremony for graduating seniors in the chemistry major.  Thirty-seven students will be graduating.  The celebration will be held on Saturday, May 16 at 2 pm. It is important to note that this is not the weekend of the University-wide graduations;  It is the weekend after the University-wide graduations.

The department has asked each graduating student to contribute something to the celebration, primarily short videos and letters. Some of these items will be presented during the ceremony as a celebration of their time at Penn State. The Department also plans to prepare a virtual yearbook to honor the class of 2020. 

President of the Nittany Chemical Society, Katie Bormes, and Teaching Professor Joe Keiser.  One of the commencement marshals for the Eberly College of Science Sojung Kim will be giving a short speech. The Department of Chemistry invites all members of the chemistry community to join us in celebrating the class of 2020.
