What motivates you to do science?

I'm motivated by the opportunity to turn my background and knowledge into meaningful, real-world change. Advocating for my community and improving access to care drive my goal of becoming a physician and contributing to a health-care system where everyone feels seen, supported, and healthy.

What does Black History Month mean to you?

Black History Month is a time to reflect, honor, and recognize the struggles and achievements of our ancestors while renewing our commitment to carry forward their mission and legacy. It is also a celebration of the strength and pride of our culture.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?

Being a Black woman in STEM inspires me to work hard to expand opportunities, uplift others, and help build a strong, supportive community.
