Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Department Head’s calendar 
     
  • Coordinate the Department Head’s daily activities 
     
  • Appraise the Department Head on upcoming deadlines and items needing immediate attention 
     
  • Assist the Department Head with matters related to faculty searches and preparation of faculty candidate offer letters 
     
  • Coordinate Faculty Affairs:
    • Promotion & Tenure 
       
    • Post-tenure reviews (AC-40) 
       
    • Sabbatical leave requests 
       
    • Faculty Activity Reports 
       
    • Peer Teaching Evaluations 
       
    • Nomination applications to graduate faculty 
       
    • Serve as back-up with non-tenure line promotions
