I received my B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Nevada, Reno, where I also pursued minors in mathematics and studio art, and competed on the cross country and track teams for all five years I was there. I'm always exploring different activities and looking to find balance between my love of running and other outdoor activities, my passion for the arts, and deep interest in the sciences. When honing in on what I wanted to pursue in graduate school, forensic science became more appealing and interesting as I learned more about the field. Then after getting to experience the campus and the great dynamic between students and faculty during my visit to Penn State, I just couldn't say no!
