About Me
I obtained my B.S. from Union College in Schenectady, NY where I majored in Biochemistry and minored in Classics while participating in DIII Women’s Ice Hockey. I obtained my Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the University of Michigan. I joined the faculty at Penn State University in 2013. I am currently the Director of Graduate Affairs for the BMMB PhD program and an Assistant Teaching Professor.

Teaching Summary
I currently teach large general education courses and a molecular biology laboratory course for science majors. I also introduce BMMB graduate students to evidence-based teaching practices and mentor BMMB students in their teaching. A major focus of my teaching is to create student centered and inclusive classrooms to promote student efficacy and increase learning outcomes.
