Alicia Kehn spent 6 years recruiting and working in college admissions, visiting high schools and presenting on career topics. She spent a year serving with Americorps' Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) program in Flagstaff, Arizona. While serving, she worked in literacy programs with homeless populations such as veterans, runaways, and victims of domestic violence.
When she returned to Pennsylvania, she worked under Penn State's College Access Challenge Grant, which provides information on college admissions to low income and first generation students. She then moved into a position at University Park with the Student Support Services Program, which served first generation and low income college students on campus.
