PAD4 Autoimmune Disease Inhibitor

Structure of the PAD4 enzyme, which plays an important role in protecting the body from infection.A team of Penn State scientists has devised a new strategy for “reactivating” genes that cause cancer tumors to shrink and die, and tested it in mice with to show that it reduces cancerous tumors in mice up to 70% without causing damage to healthy tissue. -Yanming Wang, 2014 LB2C Recipient.
