Science-U, in partnership with Restek, has returned our after school science program this fall! There will be 5 Monday afternoon sessions beginning September 20th geared toward middle school students currently in grades 6-8. The best part? It's FREE! Space is very limited, though! Welcome to the new Science-U Think Outside the Beaker after school program! Restek and Science-U are partnering to offer this new opportunity for students in grades 6-8 to join us after school by participating in the brand new STEM workshop mini-series at Penn State University.

TOTBAstro-3Students who register for this program will experience:

  • Direct interaction with Penn State science and engineering faculty and students.
  • Hands-on science activities in multiple science disciplines.
  • Improved skills: critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, and communication.



Program Details:

  • 5 sessions, held on Monday afternoons: September 20th, and 27th, and October 4th, 11th, and 18th from 3:45-5:15 pm (location at UP)

Registration (Closed for 2017)

Space for this program is limited to 25 participants. Registration deadline is September 18th.

Registration is available on a first-come, first serve basis beginning early September. Transportation to and from Bellefonte Middle School will be provided. All other transportation arrangements must be made by parents/guardians. Drop-off and pick-up location is underneath the Life Science Bridge on Shortlidge Drive (3:45 and 5:15 pm, respectively).
