SEECoS: Summer Experience in the Eberly College of Science

The Summer Experience in the Eberly College of Science (SEECoS) is a program that is a collaborative effort between ECoS and the Penn State Upward Bound Math and Science (UBMS) Program. The mission of the SEECoS Progam is to provide first generation, economically challenged students from the state of Pennsylvania with the opportunity to participate in a summer science research project.

Penn State Millennium Scholars Program

The Penn State Millennium Scholars Program is an opportunity for remarkable students who desire leadership positions in science and engineering research to reach their goals.  The program is available to students who share a commitment to diversity and to increasing the presence of minorities in innovative science and engineering programs.

American Association of University Women (AAUW) State College Branch

AAUW's mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. AAUW provides grant and scholarship opportunities to STEM initiatives that make a positive impact on local Centre County women and girls. Teacher Workshops

2014 Pennsylvania Mathematics Initiative: A workshop-based professional development program for teachers to deepen their mathematical understanding and thus improve mathematics instruction.

Dates for two summer workshops:
  • July 14-18: Math as a Second Language
  • July 21-25: Functions and Algebra
