Ernest C. Pollard Lecture Set for November 30
Jennifer A. Doudna, the Li Ka Shing Chancellor’s Chair in Biomedical and Health Sciences, professor of molecular and cell biology, and professor of chemistry at the University of California at Berkeley; and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator, will present the 2015/2016 Ernest C. Pollard Lecture at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, in 101 Agricultural Sciences and Industries Building on the Penn State University Park campus. The free public lecture is titled "The CRISPR-Cas9 Genome Engineering Revolution."
The Ernest C. Pollard Lecture is named in honor of the professor of physics who taught at Penn State from 1961 to 1971 and founded the Department of Biophysics. In 1979 the Department of Biophysics merged with the Department of Microbiology and Biochemistry to form the present Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
