Willaman Chair in Life Sciences and Evan Pugh Professor at Penn State, is one of eight scientists who will receive the 2006 National Medal of Science from President Bush during a White House ceremony on 27 July 2007. The award is the nation's highest honor for lifetime achievement in scientific research. A live webcast will begin at 1:40 p.m. (as per an update from the White House at 10:10: a.m. on 26 July) on the White House web site: http://www.whitehouse.gov .
