The Penn State Eberly College of Science will host three programs for students on March 27 at the Penn State University Park Campus.

Its annual open house for prospective students and their parents will take place on Saturday, March 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in 133 White Building. Representatives from each of the college's departments and programs, financial aid officers, staff members from housing and food services, and many other Penn State and local offices also will be on hand to answer questions from visitors.

Approximately 3,500 high-school seniors offered admission to the Eberly College of Science at all Penn State campuses for the 1999 summer and fall semesters have been invited to visit laboratories and speak with professors, advisers, and current science students. Norman Freed, associate dean of the Eberly College of Science, will be available to answer questions about all Penn State campuses, undergraduate academic programs and scholarships, research opportunities, and the Eberly College of Science Cooperative Education Program.

The college also will host a Change of Assignment Program for students, currently enrolled at locations other than University Park, who are eligible to transfer to the University Park Campus beginning at 9:30 a.m. in 119 Osmond Laboratory.

In addition, the college will host the Careers in Science Conference in 104 Thomas Building from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The conference is a joint project of The Eberly College of Science Alumni Society, The Eberly College of Science Student Council, and The Eberly College of Science Cooperative Education Student Association.
