The PA’s are your main point of contact with the Pennypacker Experience Program. They are here to be resource people and mentors (or big sisters/brothers). They are students from various majors and have experienced the first year life at Penn State. They know what you are facing as a first-year student and are here to help -- but you have to ask. It is important that you understand that the PA’s reside in the residence hall to give you guidance, mentorship, and a shoulder to lean on during your first year at Penn State. They conduct building rounds from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. During the building meeting on Sunday, August 26, at 9:30 a.m., in 100 Thomas Building, you will have an opportunity to meet the PA’s.
The RA role differs from that of the PA. While the RA’s can also be seen as a helpful resource in the residence hall, they will be responsible for enforcing the rules of the residence hall.
