The Pre-Professional Health conference is an annual conference held by POMS that allows medical schools from around the nation to interact with pre-health students at the University of Pittsburgh as well as other colleges and universities in western Pennsylvania. By attending the conference, students will be able to learn about the medical school admissions process and the life of a medical student. In addition, students will gain awareness of health disparities and healthcare issues facing minority populations. The Pre-Medical Organization for Minority Students is a student run organization whose purpose to provide motivation, aid, and retention for those students from disadvantaged backgrounds to help provide a vehicle for their future careers in the areas of health professions. POMS works in concert with the University of Pittsburgh's Medical School to prepare students for academic medicine and to promote understanding and development of future goals. The University of Pittsburgh possesses a large pre-health student body. In addition, western Pennsylvania is home to over twenty colleges and universities. By attending our conference, you will be able to reach a large number of students that may not normally have access to this information or networking opportunity.

3:00-4:00: Tour of Pitt Med/ Pitt dental/ Pitt Public Health
3:00-4:00: Workshop 4
4:00-5:00: Tour of Pitt Med/ Pitt dental/ Pitt Public Health * Mock Interviews will be held throughout the day
