Applicants must have 60 hours of earned college credit by the end of this school year to attend. The program includes an AMCAS overview with helpful hints and instructions, a personal statement workshop with follow-up assistance, an interview skills workshop, two simulated med school interviews with written feedback, and in-depth discussions about health care issues. We will also perform a human cadaver dissection at the USC School of Medicine, shadow in local hospitals, and have a panel presentation by students who have been through the process. The counselors for this program are current medical students who are available the entire time to offer advice and assistance. This opportunity will help highly-motivated students learn how to showcase their abilities, skills, and motivation throughout the application process to med school.
