As you know, recent events in the State College area rocked the foundation of Penn State. Students, staff and faculty on campus and Penn Staters throughout the world felt shock, anguish, outrage, and grief after learning about the contents of a grand jury report concerning the horrific crimes against young children alleged to have taken place at our university. The allegations have astonished the nation and stunned and shaken us all.
These events do not define Penn State. We are not defined by the actions or inaction of a few. We are, however, joined in our commitment to work to restore public trust in our institution.
